Mary Kegley’s book Early Adventures on the Western Waters, vol 5, pg 253-4 says Gerhardt Etter & Catherine Bang had children, Daniel, Peter, John & Anna Maria that moved to Wythe Cnty
Peter & wife came to Southwest VA in the late 1770s.

His will is probated 08Jul1811. He was severly hurt in a quarrell & court records indicate he was murdered.
