1870 census close but no cigar
Riley Stone born Wythe Co., Sgt Co. B, 51st VA Inf, enlisted 31 Jul 1861 at Wytheville (with brother Samuel). Pvt to Sgt between 1 Nov 1861 and 31 Oct 1862. Discharged 18 Dec 1862. Described as 6', blue eyes, auburn hair, fair complexion and brown whiskers. (p446 Wythe County, VA, A Bicentennial History by Mary B. Kegley)

I found Fannie C & a couple children in the 1920 & 1930 census. The 1920 census had Fannie C as head of household & she was living with a daughter & her husband in 1930. Our cousins Harry Lee Senter et al report having found Wm Riley's grave somewhere in Washington Cnty (Abingdon) and is buried with Fannie C. That is the location they were living at the 1910 census.
