Fred is working on the angle of who lived in Tillie’s parent’s house before they bought in the early 1960′s. See “July 01, 2010 Email from Tillie to Fred who forwarded to Sara” on the “Bible” page for details.
Fritz & Sara are working on the angle of last known possession of the Bible. Fritz’s mother Sarah Louise Stone b.1905 (daughter of James Ausker Stone b.1870, son of William Riley Stone, Sr. b.1837, son of William Stone, Jr. b.1810, son of William Stone b.1772) had a typewritten transcription of the family genealogy info. Also, the wife of Cecil Jerome Stone Jr. b.1926 (son of Cecil Jerome Stone, Sr. b.1905, son of Poage Stone b.1860, son of William Stone b.1829, son of Franklin Stone b.1805, son of William Stone b.1772) has an independent transcription of the Bible info.
The “link” of the two different transcriptions appears to come from the fact that Poage & James Ausker worked together at Stone lumber company in Bristol, TN-VA. Note also that James Ausker’s brother, William Riley Stone, Jr. b.1876 was owner or co-owner of the Stone lumber company in Bristol. Since Poage grew up with an uncle and came to Bristol around 1880 when he was 20 years old, I’m guessing that the Bible came down through “Jim & Riley’s” father, William Riley Stone, Sr. b.1837 who died in Bristol in 1917.
